Leopold is Dutch Champion 2019!
Yesterday Leopold van Asten won the Dutch Championships for show jumping riders for the 3rd time in his career.
From 25-28 April the Dutch Championships for Show jumping riders were ridden in Mierlo.
Leopold van Asten participated with VDL Groep Miss Untouchable and VDL Groep Falco. On Thursday he was placed 6th in a speed class with VDL Groep Miss Untouchable. On Friday in a class against the clock the reached the 4th place. With these results they were 5th in the ranking so far. But there were only small differences in the top of the ranking.....
After having a restday on Saturday there was a class in 2 rounds 1m50/1m60 on schedule for Sunday. After a clear first round Leopold and VDL Groep Miss Untouchable were in the lead for the Championsship and therefore were last to start in the 2nd round. The tension was mounting. His colleagues also were doing their utmost, so there were no mistakes to be made. Finishing the 2nd round with 1 timefault they won the VDL Groep Prize.
And above all they became the Dutch Champion 2019!
