VDL Groep Clemens Z is a son of the well-known stallion Calvaro (s. Caletto I). This stallion was very successful in international show-jumping 1m60 himself, and also many of his offspring perform on this level.
Clemens' dam is the mare VDL Groep Quinthago Z who performed on international level 1m60 with Leopold van Asten. Grandmother Carthaga Z has several offspring in show jumping, between those are Miss Quidam and the KWPN approved stallion Chellthago Z.
At Stoeterij Duyselshof VDL Groep Clemens Z was ridden up to 1m30 level. He was sold in 2019.
