VDL Groep Fay

VDL Groep Fay is a tall chestnut mare (s. Clearway) bred by Stoeterij Duyselshof.
Fay has been showed up to 1m30 level.
Before her sports career Fay already had a son named VDL Groep Jupiter through E.T.
From 2018 on her career will be in breeding. In 2020 she gave birth to her son VDL Groep Promess.

Fay’s sire is the stallion Clearway (Capitol I x Lord). Between Clearway’s offspring there are several international show jumpers and also approved stallions. Examples are Glock’s Cognac Champblanc, Carella, Cerona, Claire, Clear Water and Clarimo ASK.

Fay’s dam is the famous Grand Prix mare VDL Groep Think Twice, a daughter of Corrado I x Fier de Lui x Chicago. That makes the damline very valuable. With Leopold van Asten Think Twice II became Dutch Champion in 2003 and participated successfully in several Nations Cup-competitions and World Cup-finals. On top of this she won the Grand Prix of The Hague and Donaueschingen. Also in breeding Think Twice II proved her value, she already produced the international showjumper Loreen (s.Ramiro Z) and the approved stallion VDL Groep Spiritivo (s. Indoctro). Nessaya, a full sister of Think Twice, is mother of the Holstein approved stallion Quirado (s.Quidam de Revel). Their granddam Ulina was jumping on international level and became German Champion with Susanne Behring in 1994. Via Fier de Lui and Chicago this damline traces back on the famous mare Gofine, dam of the excellent breedingstallion Contender.
