VDL Groep Unique

VDL Groep Unique is a black mare by Palm S, owned by Stoeterij Duyselshof.

After a good career on international 1.40m-level, VDL Groep Unique is now a breedingmare at Stoeterij Duyselshof. She performed well with Maikel van der Vleuten and was placed in several 1.40m-courses like in Göteborg (2nd), De Steeg (4th) and Zelhem 1.35m (1st).

Sire Palm S is an half-brother of the well-known Grand Prix-mare Renata la Silla, who was ridden by Jaime Guerra and belonged to the best horses of the early nineties. One of their great victories was in the Grand Prix of Geesteren. Renata herself already produced no less than three Grand Prix-showjumpers: Rebozo la Silla (s.Dollar de la Pierre), Fine Line (s.Ulft) and Nelson Z (s.Nureyev la Silla).

Also the damline of VDL Groep Unique is really interesting. Dam VDL Groep Parmala Douche was jumping on the highest level with Maikel van der Vleuten and is also a breedingmare at Stoeterij Duyselshof now. In 2007 Maikel and Parmala Douche became Dutch Champion Young Riders and a year later they achieved the fourth place by the Seniors (1.60m). They also became fifth in the individual ranking at the European Championships for Young Riders in 2008 and in 2009 this successful combination won the Grand Prix of CSI Valkenswaard and became third in the Grand Prix of CSI3* Saint Lô. Damsire Mr. Blue was performing on the highest level with several riders and has a numerous offspring acting in the international jumping sport. He sired top-showjumpers like BMC Van Grunsven Simon, Plot Blue, VDL Groep Santana B and VDL Groep Sapphire B. Granddam Lirmaladouche competed on 1.30m-level and also produced the national showjumper VDL Groep Kentucky (s. Kentucky).
