VDL Groep Issis du Marais

VDL Groep Issis du Marais was successful in the international sport for many years with Leopold van Asten. She showed her great talent in many courses like Grand Prix, Derby, Six Bar- and speedcompetitions. For example she won the Grand Prix of Neeroeteren (2008) and Valkenswaard (2007), earned the second place in the 1.50m-competition in Vigo (2008) and won an 1.40m-course in Helsinki (2011). She proved herself in the sport and has also a very good pedigree, that made her an interesting mare for breeding at Stoeterij Duyselshof. Issis du Marais was retired from sport in 2012. She passed away in 2016.

Her sire Papillon Rouge performed on the highest level and even competed in the Olympic Games of Barcelona. With Xavier Laredde he proved to be a terrific showjumper and very valuable for the French team. Also in breeding Papillon Rouge was an huge expansion, as he sired tophorses like VDL Groep Fleche Rouge, Trésor, Mozart des Hayettes and Hors la Loi II.

Dam Nadienne du Marais produced the French approved stallions Cyrano du Marais (s.Elf III) and Dandy du Marais II (s.Le Tot de Semilly).
