This outstanding stallion has achieved excellent results at Grand Prix-level, he took part in two Olympic Games and participated in more than 15 Nations Cup-competitions. Even more he has proven himself as a breedingstallion, he sires top showjumpers like Cim Cristo, Romo Z, VDL Groep Cannelina and Mylord Carthago.

With Leopold van Asten VDL Groep Spiga has competed on Grand Prix-level herself. On her record are among others second placings in the Grand Prix of Zuidlaren and Neustadt-Dosse and a fourth place in the Grand Prix of Den Bosch.

Zamara III is known as the dam of VDL Groep Spiga. She is sired by the legendary stallion Landgraf I, who has proven his big value for the worldwide sporthorsebreeding. This dam line also covers the genes of the leading stallion Cor de la Bryère. Granddam Thymara is a full sister to the approved stallions Cicero and Cavalier Royale and she is a half-sister to the approved stallion Caprivi (s.Capitano). From a full sister of Thymara comes the well-known Grand Prix-showjumper Kira III, just like VDL Groep Spiga sired by Carthago Z.

After bringing us 3 nice foals, Spiga passed away in 2018 at the age of 25. Offspring of Spiga, bred by Stoeterij Duyselshof, are:
