VDL Groep Taranta

In 2011 Stoeterij Duyselshof bought the very interesting mare VDL Groep Taranta. With Mathijs van Asten she has been competing on 1.50m-level and achieved several good results. As a youngster she participated twice on the World Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken.

What really made her a true addition for Stoeterij Duyselshof, is the combination of her own great talent with her excellent pedigree. Sire Lux performed very well on Grand Prix-level with Jerry Smith and he distinguished himself in breeding because of his excellent progeny like the topshowjumpers VDL Groep Utascha SFN, Perpetua, Lupicor, Novesta and Sebastian.

Dam Karanta has also proven herself in breeding in a excellent way. Besides the international showjumper Taranta, she also gave birth to the Grand Prix-showjumper Oranta (s.Indorado) with Chris Kappler, the national showjumper Uranta (s.Lux) and the KWPN-approved stallion Warrant (s. Numero Uno) that was jumping on international level. Dam Karanta is sired by the topstallion Nimmerdor, who is very influential in the worldwide sporthorsebreeding and also jumped at international level himself. Via the well-breeding stallion Purioso this damline traces back on Uranta (s.Doon xx), who is a halfsister of the KWPN-approved stallion Plutus (s.Marco Polo).
