VDL Groep Sophie Z

VDL Groep Sophie Z (s. Chellano Z) is a grey mare bred by Stoeterij Duyselshof.
She was trained by Kim Rothengatter and showed at 1m30 level. The mare is careful, eager and scopy. She is always trying her best in competition.

Sophie is a daughter of Chellano Z (Contender x Cor de la Bryère) who performed successfully in international show jumping and also has many offspring at this level, for example H&M Challenge vd Begijnakker, Courtney Z and Chopin. Also many of his sons have been approved for breeding like Chello Z, VDL Groep Cassanova Z and Courtello Z. 

Sophie’s dam is the Hanoverian mare Gralla Rocha (Gralsritter x Ramiro Z x Cor de la Bryère) originating from Hannoverian damline 2195201. She is one of the last descendants of her 30-year older sire Gralsritter, who died in 1996. This Hannoverian stallion brought many international showjumpers, like Ganzer Kerl, Gralshuter and Gigi. Besides that he sired the famous stallion Grandeur, who is approved for many studbooks and won the Grand Prix of Aachen with Thomas Frühmann, as well as three times the prestigious Derby of Hamburg. 

Sophie was sold in Duyselshof Auction 2017.
