VDL Groep Glory

VDL Groep Glory achieved many good results in the international sport ridden by Leopold van Asten. They won several 1.45m-courses like in CSI Pioltella in 2010, but they also were placed in a couple of Grand Prix, like in Manerbio where they were runner-ups. VDL Groep Glory has a lot of diligence, temperament and jumping-capabilities. With these qualities she has enriched the breeding of Stoeterij Duyselshof. Unfortunately Glory passed away in 2018.

Her sire Grandeur was one of the best showjumpers of the nineties. Ridden by Thomas Frühmann he won the Grand Prix of Aachen in 1990 and they won the Derby of Hamburg three times! Also in breeding Grandeur outstands because he sired topshowjumpers like Modesto (Jean-Marc Nicolas), Garfield (Franke Sloothaak), Grandilot (Otto Becker) and Gladdys S (Ludger Beerbaum), who became European Champion in 2001.

Also the damline of VDL Groep Glory owns a lot of good genes. Granddam Warlita is a full-sister of the stallions Sartre (s.Silvester) and Silberpfeil (s.Silvester) and an half-sister of the national showjumpers Ledou Laweiyett (s.Lucky Lionell) and Cassandra 88 (s.Cassini I). The successful sport- and breedingstallion Lavall I we see as the damsire of VDL Groep Glory. He developed himself as a true ‘mare-maker’ and produced many international showjumpers and approved stallions in both direct and indirect line. The damline traces back on Harlita (s.Wahnfried), she produced the international showjumper Carossa (s.Calypso I) from Peter Nagel-Tornau and the Holsteiner stallion Caribo GL (s.Calypso II). This Holsteiner damline 5964 also produced stallions like Caretello B (s.Caretino), Lord Looping (s.Lord), Campbell VDL (s.Cassini I) and Quasimodo (s.Quinar).
